Our 2025 skipper: Gil Rondon

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is our 2025 skipper: Gil Rondon.
You have seen him at Fergie Jenkins Field last season. Gil was the Barnstormers' Pitching coach for our inaugural 2024 season. He was really appreciated by the players, transmitting his positive energy everyday. His goal has always been to develop players as in our inaugural season, he taught to our young pitchers how to pitch. He is a manager of experience and will highly benefit our team in hopes to go far in the season.
Here's Gil professional experience in baseball:
Gil pitched in the big leagues for the Houston Astros and the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1976-1979. Following his playing career, he became a coach in numerous MLB organizations as well as Indy clubs such as; Toronto Blue Jays, New-York Mets, Trois-Rivieres Saints, Empire States Greys. Rondón was a coach for Puerto Rico during the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He was also a pitching coach for the Bravos de León of the Mexican Baseball League for the 2018 season. In the recent years, before coaching the Barnstormers, he managed in the Frontier League, the Empire State Greys.
Gil was born in Bronx, New-York, but currently live in Florida and will be in Chatham-Kent in a few weeks.
